The Ministry of Health and Prevention has said that more than 222,000 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the UAE.
That makes the UAE’s testing rate at 22,900 tests per million people (the second highest density in the world).
The tests have been conducted in collaboration with various government bodies around the country, as the UAE continues to safeguard the wellbeing of its citizens and residents.
So far the UAE has done a great job of controlling the spread of the virus, it has recently put in place sanitization measures and rolled out a mobile testing unit.
If you are looking to get tested, then the UAE offers several ways to be tested in just five minutes.
The mobile testing center can process around 600 people per day, with priority given to those with pre-existing conditions or the elderly.
Otherwise, you must make an appointment by calling 800 1717 – tests cost AED370 except for those suspected with having contracted the virus.
