New facility can test 600 people per day, provides results in just five minutes

The UAE has opened a mobile coronavirus testing center, that can be used in just five minutes all while you’re in the car.

The new centre, which was developed my Abu Dhabi Health Services Company SEHA, was opened by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Photos published to Twitter shows Sheikh Mohamed being tested. He then toured the center, where he was briefed on the facilities and equipment.

“Today, I visited the mobile COVID-19 Test Center set up by SEHA as part of measures to contain the virus. Medical teams out in the field are the first line of protection of the UAE, their sacrifices safeguard our health,” he said on Twitter.

Each test takes five minutes, and the mobile testing center can process around 600 people per day.

The test center is just one of many efforts as part of the UAE’s precautionary measures to address the spread of COVID-19.

For those looking to get tested, they must first book an appointment via the UAE’s Estijaba 8001717 service. Follow pre-assessment and pre-screening, people suspected with having contracted the virus as well as vulnerable individuals can come down and be tested.

For the wider community – who want to do the examination for reassurance – the testing procedure costs AED370.

The mobile testing facility is located in Zayed Sport City. Tests take 5 minutes. To book an appointment, call 8001717.
