Dame Judi Dench has a personal favourite when it comes to who should play the next James Bond. The British star is also backing fan favourite Idris Elba to replace Daniel Craig as the next 007 agent.
Dench made an appearance on the Graham Norton show and was asked if her Cats co-star could become the seventh 007 agent.
Luther actor Elba has been a name that has beenbandied about by fans of the 007 franchise for the last couple of years now. The former M actress Judi Dench had a bit of fun with him on the set of their new movie Cats.
She said: ‘I knew he was up for it and in Cats I had the line to him “You’ll never get to Heaviside Layer” but, during rehearsals I said, “you’ll never get to MI6”.
That was all for a bit og fun and she later confirmed her own personal opinion.
“But, I think he might.”
