The Fast & Furious franchise shows no signs of ever stopping

Fast cars, crazy stunts and Vin Diesel‘s all star cast, the Fast & Furious movies have kept us entertained for almost two decades. Now Fast & Furious 9 director Justin Lin has said that the new movie is the “most ambitious film” in the series so far.

In a tweet revealing that filming had wrapped on the ninth installment of the film, he shared a photograph of one of the Panavision cameras used during the shoot.

The movie was filmed in London, Edinburgh, Tbilisi (Georgia), Phuket & Krabi (Thailand), and Los Angeles, according to his tweet.

Vin Diesel confirmed the news that filming had begun via Instagram, posting a video of himself alongside co-star Michelle Rodriguez as they discussed Fast & Furious 9 earlier this year.

There’s no word of whether or not Dwayne Johnson or Jason Statham will be part of the new film – but Hobbs and Shaw is still very much an ongoing movie series.

The filming wrapped up at a location that Vin Diesel says “only the die hards and day 1s will know about’. Fans are now speculating that Fast & Furious 9 may just take us back to the scene of the crash that killed Dominic and Mia Toretto’s dad.

Believe it or not, Fast & Furious 9 is slated for release in May 2020 and a tenth installmenis already on the cards, slated for an April 2021 release date.
