Jennifer Aniston joined Instagram last night, posting a shot of her and all the Friends cast. Soon after, her profile crashed.
“And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too,” Aniston wrote along with the photo, which showed the actress with former co-stars Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc.
Within hours of putting the post up, Aniston’s page was no longer available. Some users had trouble commenting or even liking the post.
Instagram acknowledged the problem last night in an email:
“We are aware that some people were having issues following Jen’s profile,” a spokesperson wrote.
“We are thrilled to have this ‘Friend’ as part of the Instagram community! As of now, people should be able to access and follow her profile with no problems.”
As of this morning, Aniston’s Instagram post has 7.65 million likes. She has acquired 5.8 million followers in less than 24 hours.
