The internet is awash with rumours that Selena Gomez and Niall Horan are Hollywood’s new A-list couple.
These rumours were sparked after the pair were papped together after an intimate dinner with friends. The former One Direction star had his hand around Gomez’s waist.
Adding more fuel to the fire, Gomez gave Niall a shout-out on her social media. “This came out like 5 mins ago,” she wrote of his latest song, “and I’m pretty sure you need to download”. Gomez sent out the update via Instagram Story, to her 157-million strong audience.
The rumour mill continues to churn, but according to celebrity gossip sight E! News there’s little more to this than speculation. According to sources, there’s nothing going on between the two except fast friendship.
According to the unnamed source, “Selena and Niall are not dating and have been hanging out as friends.”
However, this isn’t the first time the pair have been caught looking romantic and guilty. Back in 2015, the pair were spotted at American actress Jenna Dewan’s birthday party kissing. According to social media, they were seen by a handful of onlookers.
It seems this time around, however, they are keeping each other strictly in the friend zone.
Gomez has recently been focusing on creating new music and on her health. According to the source, she’s more than happy not having to deal with the dramas of a new relationship.
She has also been hard at work in the studio working on her new album.
Gomez also recently released Living Undocumented on Netflix, a film she executive produced. “Such an honor to share this project with some of my family and friends last night and to introduce them to the amazing, courageous people who shared their stories in the documentary,” she said on Instagram.
“Grateful to play a part in getting this out into the world.”
The documentary follows the lives of several undocumented families living in the United States.
