The Logan Paul vs. KSI rematch is officially happening on November 9, and this time it’s a full on professional match. Paul has already set his sights on his next fighting match, calling out none other than Conor McGregor.
After the first YouTuber boxing match ended in a draw, the two YouTube sensations are heading to the Staples Center in Los Angeles to settle the score. With no headgear, lighter gloves, and a professional ruleset, Paul assures this time “it’s going to be super violent”.
At a recent press conference between the two, Paul asserted not only his confidence in taking down KSI, but also in taking on McGregor.
At the conference, Paul exclaimed that “This will be a first round knockout. You don’t stand a chance. After November 9, your life [KSI] will be miserable.” While Paul has little more fighting experience than his last bout with KSI and his days in high school as a wrestler, he’s ready to move to MMA and face McGregor.
“Yeah, I’ll fight Conor. He’s f***ing punching old men in the face.
“He did take it [the punch] though! He took the punch and then just drank his whiskey. Those Irishmen dude, those Irishmen. Wild.”
“No offence to Eddie [Hearn], I’m an MMA fan. I want to do MMA after this. I wrestled in high school.”
That’s right, after his KSI fight, which he’s sure he’ll win, he wants to take on the former UFC champ and all-round Irish madman.
McGregor has not fought since his loss to lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov back in October 2018 at UFC 229. McGregor has also had a rocky year with assault and robbery charges. As it stands, he’s ranked number 11 in UFC pound-for-pound rankings, and number three in UFC lightweight rankings.
There’s no word yet on whether the call-out will garner a response, but first thing’s first is living up to the claim Paul will demolish KSI.
