Rocky and Drago are getting back together for a knockout TV series

Stallone and Lundgren – who first squared off as Rocky and Drago back in 1985 – are reuniting for an action television series that’s taking Hollywood by storm.

The pair – who are 73 and 61 respectively – are collaborating on a show dubbed The International, which sees Lundgren play a ‘cover operative at the department of Safety and Security at the UN, who acts as “the UN’s secret special agent, a one-man S.W.A.T. team and hostage negotiator”.

Sounds very much up Lundgren’s alley.

Stallone won’t be appearing in the series, just helping promote and produce it. There are also rumours that Stallone might be in to direct the first episode.

“Myself and BALBOA PRODUCTIONS are so proud to announce this incredible new show called ‘THE INTERNATIONAL’ …” wrote Stallone on Instagram, “It’s going to be fantastic working with my old hard punching friend @dolphlundgren !!! More info in the near future .”

There’s still no word on when The International will hit screens, and which network it’s attached to.
