It’s made in celebration of the Capri island in Italy

Hublot is a luxury watch brand that likes to stand out, it makes watches that are bright red, bright blue, made entirely of crystal or have a massive skull on the front. Now the brand is making waves during the summer with this sky blue ceramic piece.

If you’re in the market for a nice watch, your most common choices for colours are going to be black, white or navy blue. It’s refreshing to see this Hublot in an interesting sky blue then.

The Classic Fusion Chronograph Special Edition Capri is made in celebration of the brand’s second year anniversary of having a boutique on the summer-never-stops island.

Capri is an immensely popular holiday spot with its clear waters, beautiful faraglioni coastlines and abundance of luxury shopping choices.

The celebratory watch is created with Capri’s defining features in mind. The sky blue and white colour scheme is used to reflect the clear waters and sky of the island and a faraglioni motif can be found on the piece’s crystal case back.

The watch is made entirely from ceramic, a material with a weight between that of steel and titanium, making it a comfortable wear despite its chunky 45mm size.

Thanks to the white rubber strap and the satin finish rather than something super glossy, the watch has a relaxed feel, perfect for pairing with a rolled up white shirt.

Inside the funky case is an in-house Hublot movement, boasting 42 hours of power reserve. This is a fairly low power reserve but we doubt you’ll want to take this watch off long enough for the short reserve to be noticed.

The watch is limited to just 30 pieces and can only be picked up in the official Capri boutique of the brand. There’s an excuse for you to jet off to Capri, as if you needed one anyway.

No price has been released, though a similar piece, also a ceramic Classic Fusion chrono, goes for around $11,400.

This watch is going to be a good investment since so few exist and you can only buy it on a tiny Italian island.
