Jason Momoa cried ‘lots’ during The Lion King screening

Despite being one of the world’s manliest men, Jason Momoa broke out into tears ‘numerous times’ during a screening for Disney’s The Lion King.

Over the weekend, Momoa arranged a special screening of the new live-action reboot for his daughter Lola’s 12th Birthday. Along for the ride was wife Lisa Bonet and son Nakoa-Wolf.

Speaking about the film via Instagram afterwards, Aquaman himself admitted that he cried several times during the screening.

‘Big mahalos to @disney @disneystudios for letting us have a party for our Lola Bear @lionking was amazing congrats to everyone who made this film it was heart soul tears epic Thanks for making me cry numerous of times in front of a bunch of children,’ he said.

The star’s Instagram stories showed him and his family arriving at the empty cinema with buckets of popcorn in their hands.

Momoa has been on vacation since the beginning of July, after attending the wedding of his stepdaughter Zoe Kravitz to Karl Gulsman in Paris. Afterwards, he and his wife went to Venice, Italy – where he was pictured still jacked – to enjoy the European summer.

After the short break, Momoa is once again back in Los Angeles to begin filming the new Dune television series. He is also due to reprise his role as Aquaman for the sequel – which is due out summer of 2022 – and will star in the all-new Cliffhanger reboot, taking the place of Silvester Stallone.
