Game of Thrones star Kit Harington who plays the famous Jon Snow has reportedly checked into a luxury rehabilitation facility to deal with stress and alochol following the Game of Thrones finale.
Page Six reported that Harington had checked into a luxury health retreat in Connecticut. According to reports, he’s currently undergoing cognitive behavioral therapy, meditating, and practicing other psychological exercises to cope with stress related to the Game of Thrones ending.
The facility, which costs approximately US $120,000 a month, shares with its clients tips and tricks to deal with stress and negative emotions.
Harington has given a lot of interviews before the final episode of the show aired on HBO and has been quite ’emotional’ that the show has wrapped.
“It’s just been this amazing journey,” he said last year. “I kinda said to them on my wrap speech that it’s always been more than a job. They were a family and it was my life. I’ve loved every minute of it.
“I’ve been quite emotional all last week thinking about having finished it.”
He also was not happy with critics who reacted negatively to the long-awaited final season.
The actor admitted to feeling “quite defiant” over the incredible fan backlash over the final six episodes, including calls to re-write and re-shoot the last season.
“Whatever critic spends half an hour writing about this season and makes their judgment on it, in my head they can go f**k themselves,” he said.
“Because I know how much work was put into this.”
Harrington later apologised for what he said, saying he didn’t intend to “sound mean about critics”. But he later added that the show meant too much to him for him to quietly allow its bashing online.
