The Emirate ranks high for salaries, disposable income, and safety

  • Dubai continues to be one of the top spots in the world for people looking to earn more money and live it large

  • Recent survey places the emirate as a top city for high monthly salaries and disposable income after rent

  • Dubai now has a better quality of life than a number of well-known European, US and Asian cities

  • It’s also the safest city in the world

The idea of escaping to Dubai for a new lavish lifestyle has never been more true as World’s Prices 2019 survey reveals uplifting stats.

The UAE has always been a tourist hotspot for living the lux life. The Deutsche Bank’s Mapping the World’s Prices 2019 survey, has placed Dubai as the 14th best city for monthly salary at $2,856 (Dhs10,485), and the 11th best for income after rent, estimated at $2,068 (Dhs7,595).

But the city also ranked in the top 20 for quality of life, taking into account cost of living, healthcare, pollution and climate. It also ranked number 4 on the index for purchasing power, this measures how many goods you can buy with your cash in Dubai.

The big news though was that Dubai has been named on the list the safest city in the world, taking the #1 spot in terms of safety.

The Dubai Media Office took to Twitter yesterday to celebrate all the good news.

Those thinking of a weekend getaway are also more likely to pick Dubai, as the city comes in cheaper than the likes of New York, Paris, Madrid and Zurich. A weekend in Dubai will cost the average goer just $1,327 (Dh4,874). This price can get you two nights in a five star hotel, two pub meals, two restaurant dinners, car rental for your stay, and a bit of shopping.

We seriously recommend Dubai if you want a lux experience without the full-on lux price tag.
