You can now get new electronic visas for foreign visitors

Saudi Arabia has just made it a lot easier for tourists to visit the Kingdom. The country has approved new electronic visas for foreign visitors attending sporting events, concerts and business attractions, reports Arabian Business.

Visitors to The Kingdom will be able to obtain a visa within 24 hours, Arab News reported.

Saudi’s governing bodies for sports, cultural and business events – General Investment Authority, General Sports Authority and General Entertainment Authority – will provide the government with details of upcoming events two months ahead of time, which will then be included in the new visa system.

Saudi Arabia has been upping the ante when it comes to entertainment events. Sports and entertainment in Saudi Arabia – from new cinemas to major international sporting events, like Formula E and European Tour golf – is attracting billions of dollars in investment. Restaurants and cafes will now be able to apply for entertainment licenses to host music and comedy events as Saudi Arabia in 2019.

And US singer Mariah Carey wowed audiences at King Abdullah Economic City in Saudi Arabia. Jason Derulo performed in Saudi as well and the country’s General Entertainment Authority is also exploring the possibility of holding a US National Basketball Association (NBA) event in the kingdom, and plans to open a Madame Tussauds wax museum in 2019.
