The restaurant is set to be his first in the Middle East

The finishing touches are currently being put to Dubai’s hottest new restaurant, Sean Connolly at Dubai Opera, as it gets set to open its doors on the 1st September, ahead of the Eid-al-Adha holiday. Details of the anticipated opening have been kept under wraps to date, but the British-born culinary maverick is ready to peel back the curtain invite guests to sample the delectable food on offer at his first UAE restaurant.

Located on the top floor of the iconic dhow-shaped Dubai Opera, Sean Connolly at Dubai Opera has the capacity to host up to 350 hungry guests. Designed with versatility in mind, the brasserie offers a variety of dining experiences with four main areas to choose from; the Raw Bar, the Fire Bar, the central Pearl Bar and the outdoor rooftop terrace, which boasts spectacular views of the Burj Khalifa. The restaurant will be home to an intimate private dining room along with an exclusive chef’s table that offers eight guests the best seats in the house.

The steak and seafood brasserie menu promises to be uncomplicated and driven on high-quality produce. Whether it’s a classic pizza from the wood fire oven, signature steaks from the grill, or plump oysters from the raw bar, every ingredient has been hand-picked for its quality and gets treated with the care and attention it deserves. Music is a huge part of Sean’s signature style and this restaurant – being so close to the Opera – is no different. Playing out a nostalgic soundtrack that is heavily influenced by Sean’s youth, you can expect an acoustic journey of funk, blues and disco that will inject an unmistakable energy in to every dining experience.

Sean Connolly has commented on the opening: “I’m honoured to have the opportunity to open my first restaurant in the UAE and at this landmark location, it’s something seriously special. I plan on letting the produce speak for itself, keeping the food super-simple, and the floor all-singing and all-dancing. I want people to feel good – that’s what really counts!”

Not only does the food sound delicious but the ambience itself might be worthy of a visit. Whether its pre-theatre snacks at the Balcony Bar, post-show drinks at the rooftop terrace, or a simple dinner with friends in the main restaurant – Sean Connolly at Dubai Opera looks set to be ideal for the perfect evening of entertainment.
