In celebration of Season 5 finally landing on Netflix today

Those of you out there suffering from Frank Underwood defiency can finally breathe a sigh of relief as House of Cards Season 5 is finally hitting Middle Eastern Netflix screens on July 2nd. Delivering your latest fix of Machiavellian politics, viewers can expect to see cracks in one of the world’s most powerful relationships this side of you and your laptop.

If you are a Kevin Spacey fan (which, if you’re reading this, we can assume you are), there’s no better place for you to wile your time than Netflix thanks to the host of fantastic Spacey flicks they have on offer. Trawling through Netflix’s seemingly endless array of content can get a bit hectic, so luckily for you we’ve collated a selection of Spacey’s finest in order to make you’ve got your pre and post House of Cards Netflix binge covered.

Horrible Bosses

We’re sure everyone out there has fantasized about killing their boss at some point in their lives, which is what makes this off-the-wall comedy about a group of disgruntled workers who attempt to kill their micro-managing employers so oddly satisfying. Needless to say Spacey steals the show as the head of a financial firm who makes Mr Burns look like a saint.

L.A. Confidential

It’s 1950’s L.A., where politics, Hollywood, cops, and Kevin Spacey collide. No one’s off limits, and no one’s secrets are “hush-hush.” Three wildly different cops form an uneasy alliance to ferret out police corruption in this wonderfully noir Oscar-winning whodunit.

Seven

A novice cop is up against a sadistic serial killer with a growing body count. What’s not to love? A seasoned homicide detective and his new partner are on a desperate hunt for a killer whose gruesome crimes are based on the Seven Deadly Sins.

Superman Returns

Yes, we know it’s hardly the Oscar nabbing sort of film that Spacey is best known for, but there’s something about watching Kevin lark about as a bald, megalomaniac, Lex Luthor that we find oddly satisfying. Sue us. And with the welcoming addition of Kate Bosworth’s Lois Lane, ‘Superman Returns’ is incredibly easy on the eye.

A Time To Kill

When two white men brutally rape a young black girl in a Southern town, a father’s outrage leads to a sticky trial for the dynamic duo of Spacey and McConaughey. Not a light-watch, but this John Grisham adaptation is a slick thriller guaranteed to have you on the edge of your seats.

The Negotiator

Don’t be put off by the film’s title, we can promise you that it is genuinely interesting as the police force try to arrest an expert hostage negotiator who insists he’s being framed for his partner’s murder in what he believes is a conspiracy. Worth watching purely to get your eyes on that blue pullover Spacey’s rocking.
