The digital influencer

The late Hardy Amies said it best when he declared: “A man should look as if he has bought his clothes with intelligence, put them on with care and then forgotten all about them.” Beyond this guiding principle, the formula for a stylish man is harder to pinpoint. So for 2017’s selection of the Esquire’s Best Dressed Men in the Gulf, we’ve looked at men who wear their clothes with a sense of individuality, confidence and consideration.

Hamid Fadaei
28, Iranian, Fashion blogger, photographer, designer, model
The former Tehran-based model says that relocating to Dubai has allowed him to build on his impressive personal brand. Previously the face of French fragrance, Roberto Vizzari, Fadaei has also featured in campaigns for Lipton, Scanzee, Fila, Galus and Zara. He is often seen at events in the Middle East, turning heads with his striking outfits. “My style is a combination of classic with a modern rock ‘n’ roll look,” says the influencer.

Fadaei has been shot in some crazy clothes over the years for his modelling jobs. Although he takes a more classic masculine approach to his personal style, he has fond memories of some of the crazier looks. However, he admits to being at his happiest when dressed in a dark blue suit with brown shoes and white shirt, teamed with his favourite luxury leather accessories.

“Fashion is not just about clothes. It’s about everything you see, from cars and interiors to architecture and design; it’s really important to me,” he says of his wider influences.

The digital influencer, who has recently signed to the ITP Live roster, hopes to continue to build his brand, and possibly dip his toe into the world of acting. We wish him well.
