During international football tournaments, there is one thing that brings people together: a wallchart.
Everybody loves a wallchart! There’s no denying it. Even your colleagues who claim to have no interest in football will occassionally walk past your desk and linger as they study the progress made filling in those vacant little white boxes, while off-handedly repeating something vaguely football related that they overheard on the radio.
For a football fan the memories of filling in wallcharts of tournaments gone by are steeped in nostalgia. The only trouble is these days, unless you pick up a newspaper supplement on a specific day, then you’re left with the hugely unsatisfying filling out of digital charts – who does that?!
