What’s your favourite wardrobe item?
Shoes. I believe in starting from the ground up, so footwear is the first step to dressing sharp.
How would you describe your style?
I mix different styles. In the office I’m sort of formal, with a blazer, and I do a streetwear style for dinner or going out and about on the weekends. My style is eclectic and creative.
What does your style say about you?
I’m a very straightforward person. My style is similar too — what you see is what you get.
What’s the best style advice you can give to our readers?
Don’t overdo it, but ensure you are taking some risks. All you have to do is think about where and who you’re going to be with and just step it up one notch.
What’s the best style advice you have ever been given?
I usually give style advice and it’s typically to make sure everything fits impeccably.
How has your style changed as you’ve got a bit older?
I’m switching towards more formal clothes rather than T-shirts; I have also over the years experimented with styles that I would never have done earlier in my life. This comes with travelling to different parts of the world and seeing how people dress from there — you pick up certain references you might like and implement them in your style.
Does your style change when you travel?
On the day I fly, I’m in sweatpants, a T-shirt and a cardigan; but you would never see me like that in Dubai! Other than that my style doesn’t change once I’ve landed and settled.
Which three essential wardrobe items can you not live without?
A watch, belt and a fine pair of shoes.
Who’s your style icon?
David Beckham, as he has such a diverse style, which makes him unique. It’s not always about what you wear but how you carry yourself.
