The rising star that is the UAE’s Omar Abdulrahman just keeps on getting brighter as the footballer signs up to be the new face of Nike F.C. in the region.
Popularly known as Amoory, the gifted Al Ain midfielder is rapidly becoming the posterboy for football in the Gulf. His creativity on the pitch (and his unmissable afro haircut) has brought him to the world’s attention and even earned him the title of #1 player in ESPN FC’s top Ten Asian Players of 2012, and in 2013 was listed by FIFA as the most promising future star in Asia.
But his sense of style isn’t confined to the pitch, with the young Emirati being announced as the new face of Nike’s street-wear line, Nike F.C.
“I love the Nike F.C. collection as it is an extension of my professional style. It translates my passion for football into my personal style and I appreciate that Nike gives me the option to stay true to my personality whilst offering that laid-back, off-pitch edge.”
With the endorsement, Amoory joins an star-studded line-up of players to become the face of Nike F.C. including Gerard Pique, Blaise Matuidi, Daniel Sturridge and Eden Hazard among others.
This continues to show the confidence in Amoory as a key player in the future of this sport on an international scene. From being included on the cover of PES 2016 alongside the Brazilian, Neymar, to becoming the regional face of Nike, Amoory is on his way to becoming one the most influential football player to ever come out of this region.
