We love February – mainly because it normally signals the return of the Dubai Desert Classic. Known as the ‘Major of the Middle East’ this year’s edition is the talk of the Tour as it will feature the return of Tiger Woods to the Emirates Golf Club.
With fan-favourite Rory McIlroy withdrawling with a rib injury, both fans (read: us) and the organisers are delighted that Woods, a 14-time Major winner, is returning to the event where he has had so much success (he won in 2006 and 2008) to add some additional star-power to a line-up that includes current Major champions Danny Willet (Masters) and Henrik Stenson (The Open), as well as friend-of-Esquire Rafa Cabrera-Bello.
