How to get Kanye West’s Met Gala outfit that cost US$40
- Last night’s Met Gala saw the world’s celebrities descend on the New York Metropolitan Museum
- The theme was ‘camp’ or ‘outrageous fashion’
- The stars didn’t disappoint, with Lady Gaga wearing custom-made 4-in-1 outfit and Harry Styles wearing a silk blouse
- Kanye West proved you don’t need to spend big to on good style – his Met Gala jacket cost just US$40
No one puts Kanye in the corner.
The Met Gala is one of the most outrageously fashionable get-togethers of the year – and with this year being dubbed ‘outrageous fashion’ – the celebrities were out in force. And proving that Kanye West listens to no one, he decided to ditch the theme altogether and wear a jacket that cost just US$40 bucks.

LADY GAGA’S MET GALA DRESS MORE COMPELLING THAN GAME OF THRONES
Standing in a crowd of overdressed celebrities, Yeezy was wearing a Dickies Eisenhower Jacket in black matched with a pair of black trousers and Yeezy Season 4 military company boots in the dark ‘oil’ colourway. He kept things minimal, with a simple black T-shirt and some diamond jewellery.
Kimmy Kardashian went the other way from minimalist, debuting a ‘wet look’ beaded latex Thierry Mugler dress – which apparently took eight months to produce. Additionally, the dress served as the first time in 20-years Mugler designed for the celebrity.
It’s not often that Kanye is the voice of reason when it comes to the world of fashion. His jacket, which is priced at just US$43-dollars, the jacket is available from dickies.com
Elsewhere, the stars did not disappoint with some of the most lavish and ‘out-there’ clothing we’ve ever seen on a red carpet.
Jared Leto walked into the Met Gala using his own severed human head as an accessory. Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner hit the red carpet in matching geometric outfits. Harry Styles – who was also hosting the event – wore what can only be described as a black silk blouse. And Lady Gaga – fresh off winning an Oscar for her work on A Star Is Born – had a 4-in-1 outfit that she slowly removed as she walked through the doors.
