Maison Margiela’s new collection of scents are inspired by the jazz club and other memories

Maison Margiela has introduced its fragrances to the Gulf region with its new eight-piece collection, Replica. Inspired by the French brand’s 1994 ready-to-wear show of the same name, the fragrances encapsulate the timelessness of memories through the nose.

Take Jazz Club — the cologne features tobacco, leather and rum in its composition to evoke the atmosphere of its namesake, whereas At The Barber’s features top notes of bitter orange, basil and black pepper, teamed with lavender, geranium and rosemary middle notes and tonka bean, leather, moss and white musk base notes. The combination does indeed powerfully remind us of that fresh, barber-shop feeling — albeit without the trim and as for Jazz Club? It’s masculine, sultry and musky without even a hint of sticky floor. They’re available in the UAE from this month.
