Cut above the rest

The classic clean British look is big news for SS 2017 as shown at Jermyn Street St James’s. The hair for this show represented a true British gentleman, clean and polished to perfection. Hair stylist Philipp Haug created a quintessential hair style to reflect the refined, smart and expensive threads from the high-end collection.

Works for: Anytime and any place. It suits young boys and older men, as it’s versatile and compliments most face shapes.

How to maintain: The key to this look is height and texture. Add volume and definition.

The bigger the better

After once holding one of the top hair spots of the 80s, big hair is back. Kevin Luchmun creates classic, voluminous 80s inspired manes at the
E.Tautz SS 2017 show. The hair for this show is inspired by the 1980s River Pheonix era focussing on the natural movement of the hair to create a voluminous but natural look.

Works for: Ideal for either work or play occasions. The hairstyle gives you an edge but is still well-groomed and polished.

How to maintain: Create lasting height and volume, but ensure the sides are smoothed.

The modern man

Daniele De Angelis created a conventional, slicked back hairstyle with a striking new edge on the Hardy Amies SS 2017 runway. The overall look for this show was young and contemporary, but still maintains a sophisticated and classic hair style. For the longer haired models, Daniele created a top slicked back look with gentle waves with a clean, wet look finish.

How to maintain: Add shine and create a smooth but defined look with the ultimate hold.

Works for: The young and the bold. The futuristic, contemporary hairstyle is perfect for a trendy night out.

Rockin’ the bedhead

The hair for the Matthew Miller SS 2017 show was inspired by 90’s Grunge and the Kurt Cobain era. Kevin Luchmun created a highly textured look with an effortless cool effect.

How to maintain: Build texture and create separate hair chunks around facial features.

Works for: Edgy, cool men who want a stand out mane – long glossy locks.
