In an unexpected move, Nothing – known primarily for its tech gadgets – is stepping onto the fashion runway. It’s first stop? SoleDXB in Dubai.
The tech firm, after making waves with user-friendly phones, headphones and smartwatches, is now venturing into clothing. But it’s not just any clothing; it is bringing transparency to the forefront, quite literally.
This launch includes two items: a translucent lab coat and a matching cap, both echoing the aesthetic of 1970s IBM factory floors. The lab coat, a thigh-length, regular fit piece, comes equipped with multiple zippered pockets and an adjustable waist.
There’s a big focus on functionality and eco-friendliness, with features like back hem vents for mobility and zippers made from recycled materials.
The cap follows suit, designed to pair seamlessly with the lab coat. These pieces aren’t just a nod to the past but a step towards sustainable fashion, packaged in 100% biodegradable materials.
Nothing’s apparel will be available at the Soledxb festival, with the Transparent Cap priced at 149AED and the Labcoat at 699AED.
SoleDXB, renowned for its vibrant mix of music, art, and lifestyle, is a great backdrop for Nothing’s foray into fashion. The Nothing pop-up store will be running from December 8-10, and after that you’ll be able to find Nothing apparel at the Frame boutique (while supplies last).
