We may know what Apple’s mixed-reality headset will be called, as some key trademark filings across the globe signal a clear direction for the potential game-changing device.
In what will be Apple’s first push into a new product category in years, the unannounced device will likely be called the ‘Reality Pro’ or ‘Reality One’, with those two names as well as ‘Reality Processor’ all trademarked in the US, EU, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Costa Rica and Uruguay.

The applications weren’t filed by the company directly, of course, but that is the company’s usual M.O., often filing through law firms so as not to give away the game.
As they are Apple of course, people tend to figure these things out quickly.
Apple’s ‘Reality’ VR Headset: What we know so far
The headset has been rumoured to combine virtual reality and augmented reality tech, putting it in direct competition with Meta Platforms, the Zuckerberg and co. ‘Oculus’ tech that has expanded much since that acquisition was made years back.

There were other similar trademark filings earlier this year in a similar manner also made by firms linked to Apple, with ‘realityOS’ patented across the world.
These latest trademarks are registered to ‘Immersive Health Solutions’, a shell company that was incorporated back in February, according to Bloomberg News.
That company was registered by another shell company called the Corporation Trust.
According to Bloomberg, the firm is aiming to release the headset at the high end of the market next year, 2023, but it’s uncertain whether they will meet that date as they have reportedly faced issues with camera sensors, software as well as hardware overheating during the product line’s development.
Pro and One both make sense as names to be linked to the new ‘reality’ line, as both have long been used with their products.
When we’ll get a look—augmented, virtual or otherwise—remains to be seen, but the next big product may be nearly here.
