- Apple‘s World Wide Developer Conference delivered some significant updates

The 2019 Apple Develoer Conference brought with it the announcement of a brand-new operating system for the iPad, as well as new features and added services that will change how you go about using your Apple devices.
Each of the updates is expected to roll out in the fall of 2019. We’ve rounded up a few of the bigger announcements below.
iPadOS
Apple announced that the iPad will soon gets its very own dedicated operating system. iPadOS will effectively be a more robust version of iOS (or a stripped-back version of macOS).
Instead of the home screen just displaying apps as square icons, the homescreen will be customisable with widget support. It will also continue its Apple Pen Support, as weell as Split View and Slide over. As well as a more powerful Files App.
It means the days of finally being able to ditch your laptop for a tablet might really be upon us.
iOS 13
The software that powers your iPhone will be getting a slew of updates in September (just in time for Apple’s next big phone release). In addition to the launch of Dark Mode for iOS, you get access to more comprehensive editing tools, as well as a more detailed Maps application.
Also Siri sounds a bit less robotic, and more natural.
macOS Catalina
When macOS arrives in the fall, it will bring enhanced functionality to Mac-users with tablets. With Catalina, iPads can be used as either a second display for Macs, or a high-precision drawing tablets alongside supported creative apps (and an Apple Pen).
iTunes is going to be replaced with Apple Music, Apple Podcasts and Apple TV apps.
Additionally, Catalina can now 100% be controlled via voice.
WatchOS
Apple continues down the health path with the Apple Watch. Four years after it first hit the market, Apple has added a Cycle Tracking feature that helps women track each month. Additionally, users will be able to better manage the health of their hearing thanks to a new noise level decibel meter integrated into the software.
watchOS 6 will roll out this fall for Apple Watch Series 1 devices or later, paired with an iPhone 6s or later running iOS 13.
tvOS
You can expect a new home screen, software that will now support multiple-users (giving everyone a personalized experience). When the fall update launches, it will also come with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 game controller spport.
