It is no secret that Google and Huawei have been at odds in recent history.
This culminated in all Huawei smartphone models over recent years having a decided lack of Google apps and services (such as Google Play, Gmail and Maps).
But Huawei has since sold off its mid-range Honor brand, which has allowed Honor to start fresh with the big G. And the first models to be welcomed back into the Google fold, are Honor’s 50 series.
The Honor 50 and Honor 50 Pro both have four rear cameras. A 100MP main camera, an 8MP wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera.

The Honor 50 Pro boasts a more powerful selfie camera with a 32MP and 12-MP ultrawide cameras, while the Honor 50 has only the 32MP.
The Honor 50 Pro has a 6.72in screen and the Honor 50 has a 6.57in. Both have smooth 120Hz displays.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 5G platform is found in both smartphones. You’ll be able get one in the UAE this year.
This could be a major step forward for Honor, with Google Maps now on the agenda.
