If you’re anything like us, it was probably at a shoe store in your teen years after your last growth spurt, on one of those black and chrome measuring tools that the shoe store attendant awkwardly put under your feet as your parents looked on.
Not exactly scientific. And getting the right running shoes requires a bit more precision than that.
Under Armour just opened its biggest store in the region at The Dubai Mall, and it features one intriguing feature: a 3D Foot Scanner, offering customers a fitting experience using AI tech that creates a comprehensive 360-degree scan of your foot.
It’s dubbed the world’s fastest foot scanner, and takes only seconds.
Staff is then on hand to make suggestions based on the readings, and whether you’re looking for stability, cushioning, high-intensity training or maximum comfort for daily wear.
The 1,300 sq meter store also features a ‘Pick and Learn’ interactive system, which includes smart touch screens to help you make detailed and informed comparisons without trying to get our phone to connect to the mall’s wifi so you can just google everything you pick up.
The store also features the ‘Under Armour Chill Out Lounge’ which offers a mobile charging station and interactive 3D map of Dubai.
