The upgraded audio system is an easy way to upgrade your stay-at-home setup

Rode has unwrapped its second edition of the popular Wireless Go range – a mobile microphone system that is widely used by vloggers across the region.

Like its older brother, the Go II is designed to be as little as possible – while still being able to provide semi-pro audio quality. This upgraded version comes with a few improvements, namely the ability to record for two sources, an extended wireless range for more stable transmission, and better battery life.

The entire package now comes with two clip-on transmitters (the last version only had one), each with a built-in omnidirectional condenser microphone. You can also use the provided 3.5mm input for plugging in a separate lavalier microphone.

What previously set the Wireless Go range apart from other small-form microphone packs was the ability to clip them on and hit record. Most users will continue to go down this route, and thanks to better compatibility with the likes of Android and iPhones (you can now plug the receiver directly into your smartphone) we imagine smartphone vloggers will very quickly take to the new microphone system.

While the Wireless Go II is positioned for those who rely on crisp, clear audio – Rode has said that the mic system will also plug-and-play with most laptops – which means it can pull double duty for Zoom workers.

Rode’s Wireless Go II will be available across the region very soon. It will cost around AED1,100 when it arrives on our sandy shores.
