LG has announced a transparent 55-inch OLED television, that it says will also double as a partition.
It would turn the transparent safety partition into something far more usable.
LG says that the technology will be featured at CES 2021 (the International Consumer Electronics Show). The OLED panel was designed for restaurants, where hygiene is a major concern.
As well as blocking the transmission of viruses such as COVID-19, the screen can also show information such as the menu. LG also sees the panel being used in smart homes, as well as subway trains.
There is not word on when the television will arrive and for how much (expect that next week).
