A month after releasing its first pair of headphones, Saint Laurent continues its march towards the audio sector. It has released a new luxury speaker with help from Japanese audio company Cotodama.
Last year, Cotodama released its Lyric Speaker Canvas, for those who wanted a speaker as stylish as it was functional. The company has now collaborated with Saint Laurent, to bring its ‘high art concept’ to high fashion.
The devices appear to be made of just two canvas boards, leaning against the wall. When you press the play button, the board in front displays song lyrics while the back section – which is the speaker – plays music.

According to Cotodama, the design “provides constant inspiration and motivation through the power of words”.
The new Saint Laurent speaker contains no logos or visual obstructions. However it does have a simple printed ‘Saint Laurent’ hidden on the back, in dark grey.
The special edition Saint Laurent Lyric Speaker Canvas is available exclusively at Rive Droite Saint Laurent locations in Paris and LA. It costs a cool $2,655 (which is around $700 more than the standard Cotodama-branded one).
