At a time when a cross-industry collabs seem to drop on the daily, seeing an unexpected one that works just hits right, like a shot of caffeine to the system.

Did we foresee a collaboration between esteemed German luggage makers, Rimowa, and La Marzocco – the masters of handmade espresso machinery – coming? Nope. Are we glad it did? Absolutely.

Bringing the brands together helps create a blend of German and Italian design and engineering that merges the ingenuity, craftsmanship, and meticulous attention to detail they’re both known for.

At the heart of the collaboration is the Linea Mini, a professional-grade compact espresso machine distinguished for its technical performance and distinctive design, revisited to feature Rimowa’s signature grooved aluminium and an array of bespoke components meticulously crafted by skilled artisans.

RIMOWA La Marzocco Caffe Milan 4

The introduction of the limited-edition RIMOWA La Marzocco Linea Mini espresso machine affirms the Maison’s spirit of innovation and its tradition of connecting with its community at different junctures of their journeys— this time bringing an uncompromised espresso experience to their daily life.

Made in Florence – and available on a made-to-order basis – with each piece requiring 40 hours of dedicated craftsmanship, the RIMOWA La Marzocco Linea Mini espresso machine features RIMOWA’s aluminium on its exterior, with the grooved panels built in RIMOWA’s factory in Cologne, assembled and installed entirely by hand. This high calibre of craftsmanship extends to its finishings, from the frame to its base, which features the two brands’ logos in celebration of the union.

The design also integrates bespoke hot water tap and knobs made in aluminium, emblazoned with RIMOWA and La Marzocco’s iconic monograms. Its custom portafilter is reinterpreted in anodised aluminium, as are its feet.

It makes a pretty good cup of coffee too.
