Tech brand Oppo plans to take over the world, one wallet-friendly gadget at a time.

It just unwrapped six new products that aim to deliver flagship-level quality in affordable packages. That means no more saving up months for a new gaggle of tech.

Oppo unveiled a few new products including:

  • Oppo Reno8 Pro 5G
  • Reno8 5G
  • Reno8 Z 5G
  • Oppo Pad Air
  • Oppo Band 2
  • Oppo Enco Buds2

The nomenclature aside (we’re looking at you, multiple versions of what appears to be the same phone) and polite nod to the world’s biggest tech company (Pad Air indeed!) there a lot to like in Oppo’s new products.

Oppo Reno8 (and friends)

The Reno8 series has always been about two things; flagship specs in a stylish case.

This one’s no different, with some extra junk in the camera trunk that aims to make portrait photos and videos much more professional. It uses clever AI skills and a new camera sensor to make stellar bokeh images, and the selfie cam has also seen much improvement.

A streamlined design also tries to mask the camera bump (but we can still see it).

  • The Reno8 Pro 5G (AED2,799) is the top-of-the-range model, with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display and ultra-thin body.
  • The Reno8 5G (AED 1,899) sits one down; slightly deflated processor and camera sensor, but the same AI smarts when it comes to photography.
  • Last but not least, the Reno8 Z 5G (AED1,499) is the brand’s most affordable.

Oppo Pad Air

It’s a tablet, it runs Android, it has a large 10.36-inch 2K display and Dolby Atmos speakers. It’s also super slim (barely 7mm) and features a 28-hour battery.

Most importantly, The Oppo Pad Air is a fraction of the cost (AED899) of another tablet that also might happen to have the word ‘Air’ in the name…

Oppo Buds2

Oppo’s latest noise-cancelling buds come with a bigger bass output, and 28-hour long battery (provided you bring along the case).

Interestingly – and something you don’t see too often – the Buds2 (AED119) have the ability to wirelessly communicate to an attached smartphone’s camera, letting you use them as a remote control.

Oppo Band 2

This fitness tracker gives you a 1.57-inch display in an all-new design. The Band 2 (AED219) sleep analysis, blood oxygen monitoring, as well as a snoring risk assessment – which will listen while you slumber, and use your night-time shenanigans to offer advice on how to optimize sleep.

Everything you see here is available right now in all good gadget stores (or Oppo’s website).
