Nike Live has come to the Dubai Marina.
The concept stores, which include Nike by Melrose in Los Angeles–as well as Nike Live in Tokyo, New York and of course Eugene, Oregon, the home of Nike. Much like the Los Angeles concept, this one is called Nike by Marina, an ode to its local home.
The Nike Live shops have been a massive hit everywhere they’ve popped up thus far, and now there’s one in one of Dubai’s most beloved neighbourhoods.
Inside the store, there are three main zones, including a welcome area, living room and kitchen, giving it a homey feel. In the Kitchen area, for example, you’ll find the Nike Sneaker Bar, where you’ll be able to create customs that will be the envy of all passersby. Or if they’re anything like my brother’s old customs from when he was 14, they will be shoes that only a 14 year old could love.
The store will also use a ton of data from the area to make sure that the store is always stocked with what the people of Marina want most, with bi-weekly deliveries of new limited-edition drops and collaborations.
For sneakerheads, keep an eye out for the drops, because unlike the Jordan Store in The Dubai Mall, often times the latest Nikes will drop in store without warning or hype, leaving the latest Dunks for example that are already reselling for much more online sitting on the Marina shelves waiting to be discovered for retail price.
