Social media giant Meta, previously known as Facebook, has extended its paid verification service, “Meta Verified,” to the United Arab Emirates.
The feature first appeared in the US in February of this year and has been gradually rolling out to different countries.
The Meta Verified service, available on Instagram and Facebook, grants subscribers a coveted blue checkmark, additional account security, direct support, and exclusive stickers, all for a monthly fee of AED46.99.

To become Meta Verified, users must meet activity requirements, be at least 18 years of age, and provide a government ID that matches the information on their Facebook or Instagram account.

UAE-based social media users noticed notifications on their Instagram profiles earlier today, offering the opportunity to become Meta Verified. These prompts direct interested users to a subscription page where they can sign up and pay for the service. Alternatively, Instagram users can navigate to the subscription page via their account settings under the Meta Accounts section.
Meta’s decision to bring Meta Verified to the UAE is the latest move in their global rollout. The company promises to continue building a subscription offering that brings value to all users – creators, businesses, and community members alike.
