The big G’s newest smartphone – the Google Pixel 6 – pairs a whopping great camera, with a new design, custom-built chipset, and more artificial smarts than HAL 9000 after a day at the library.
The Pixel 6 and 6 Pro differ only slightly in size, memory and camera specs, but both are powered by Google’s system-on-a-chip Tensor system – Google’s proprietary process that specs for image processing, speech recognition and better battery life.

That extra oomph gives the Pixel 6 a super-powered camera, and killer new features – such as the ability to erase objects in photos you’ve taken, a long-exposure mode and cinematic video.
As expected, it also rocks the latest version of Android that boasts the biggest design change in its history (so says Google).
That means all-new colour palates, personalization, redesigned widgets and new privacy indicators. It also brings with it better image, audio and language processing – so it can do fancy things, such as translate words and audio instantly on the fly.
The Pixel 6 packs 8GB of onboard memory, while the pricier Pro rocks 12GB, as well as an extra 4x zoom camera and a bigger battery. The regular version comes in at 6.4-inches, while the bigger device has a 6.7-inch adaptive screen, so it can cycle up and down frame rates for better images or to preserve battery life.
The Pixel 6 is available now for AED2,200. The Pixel 6 Pro is available for AED3,305.
