With the churn of A.I.-generated imagery able to to fill every conceivable combination of fantasy, there is still no replacing the real thing. And, as of today, a very real thing is the tangible aesthetic of one of the world’s most respected style-icons, David Beckham, distilled into the form of a car – a Maserati, specifically.

This is made possible with the famed Italian marque unveiling its brand new ‘Fuoriserie Essentials’ collection – which sees Maserati collaborating with a curated set of tastemakers to design a set of custom-built cars based on their aesthetic.

Two distinctive models make up Beckham’s ‘Fuoriserie DB Essentials’ offerings, one inspired by the 1967 classy Maserati Ghibli coupé; the other a tribute to the 1986 Maserati Quattroporte Royale.

Inspired by his fascination for Maserati classic cars and conceived as an extension of his Savile Row sartorial wardrobe, the 1967 classy Maserati Ghibli coupé sees Beckham selecting a ‘Night Interaction’ blue for the exteriors matching it with a tan shade for the leather interiors.

““Fuoriserie” means “custom-built” in Italian, and our Trident’s customization program is conceived to create singular experiences for our clients,” said Klaus Busse, Head of Design of Maserati.

“Our wish here is for them to express their personality and passion by creating their very own Maserati. Just like David, everyone can choose from a wide range of personalization features from our Fuoriserie Corse collection, inspired by Maserati’s glorious racing heritage, and from our Fuoriserie Futura collection, dedicated to lovers of technology and new materials.”
