Revealed: Ferrari GTC4 Lusso
Wouldn’t it be perfect to own a sports car powerful enough to traverse multiple terrains without sacrificing in-car comfort or sporty elegance? Well, Ferrari’s latest reveal may have just answered your prayers.
The GTC4 Lusso’s unquestionably modern design may resemble any ordinary grand tourer, but it comes with a groundbreaking novelty that may change the way you perceive travel.
Named after Enzo’s favourite 330GTC, the 2016 model is the first four-wheel drive to incorporate rear-wheel steering whilst accommodating an eye-popping V12 engine capable of punching out 690 cv at 8,000 rpm. Throw in its maximum torque of 697Nm at 5,750rpm with 80% already available at 1,750rpm and superb responsiveness at low revs and voila – potentially the most versatile sports car ever made.
For some, it’s difficult to ignore shades of the controversial FF model. After all, critics were quick to scrutinise the coupe-estate design which was not indicative of the traditional Italian marque. However, the FF’s spiritual successor, endowed with a chiselled and refined exterior, compliments the extremely tapered and streamlined form. But that’s not all – the roof curvature is slightly lowered meaning there is ample room for luggage and more importantly passenger comfort.
Finally, the exclusive dual cockpit architecture and material craftsmanship is what anyone can expect from high-end Italian cars. The steering wheel is more compact, integrated controls more ergonomic and the complimentary infotainment platform with 10-inch HD screen and touch technology compatibility will have many eagerly anticipating its release.
So, whether you’re enjoying a quick drive to and from work or a cross-country cruise, keys to the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso (Italian for luxury) may ‘accidentally’ find themselves in your hands every time.
