Vintage cars and classic Porsches surround chatting coffee-drinkers at DRVN by Porsche café in the Dubai’s Bluewaters.

Taking its lead from its Abu Dhabi counterparts (where there are two DRVN cafés), the sleek, two-storey, motoring-inspired café is part coffeeshop, part pizzeria, part restaurant and most notably, a car museum.

The café is the brainchild of Emirati ex-pilot Rashed Al Fahim, who wanted to share his passion for good coffee and fast (rare) cars. The café recently established a more formal partnership with Porsche with regards to the cars that will be showcased within, as well as a string of new events and merchandise able to be bought at DRVN by Porsche.

While car culture has deep roots in the Middle East, coffee culture has evolved rapidly over the last decade. While you can still order a super-quick drip espresso, cappuccino or an Americano, the new trend is shifting away from fast coffee trends, toward a slower coffee experience. At DRVN, the coffee-beans are roasted in-house.
