After introducing its first all-electric SUV last year, Ford isn’t wasting anymore time.
Yesterday, it announced that its 2022 Transit cargo van will be going all-electric, alongside the Mustang Mach-E SUV and the Ford F-150 pickup truck.
The zero-emissions cargo van will get an electric power train alongside smart tehcnologies to help businesses stay better connected to their drivers, and be able to track and log their journals. There is also integrated driver assist systems to encourage safe driving, as well as reduce the likelihood of traffic collisions.
As a model designed for commercial use, the electric Ford Transit Van will come in many different configurations: including van, cutaway and chasiss cab option. There will be three different roof heights and lengths.
The all-electric Transit is expected to launch in the US and in Canada next year.
