How to watch announcements from BMW, Porsche, and Mercedes-Benz from the comfort of your home

The 90th Geneva Motor Show was cancelled this week, over fears of the coronavirus.

While this has sent car fans into a tizzy, car manufacturers have been forced to get innovative.

Several of the biggest automakers in the world have taken to the internet to showcase their new launches, including live streaming announcements and a lot more.

You can see a rundown of the top carmakers and their planned announcements below.

Aston Martin

Aston Martin’s press conference will take place on March 4th, at 12:00pm Dubai Time. Aston is expected to send out live streaming links for journalists around the world and perhaps might make the stream public.

The car brand is expected to properly unveil the DBX Q – a bespoke version of its luxury 4×4. 

Audi

Audi will unveil its A3 Sportback and e-Tron S prototype, using its public streaming service on March 3. You can check out the Livestream via Audi’s on Tuesday.

The carmaker said:

“40 years ago the Quattro drive celebrated its world premiere. Follow the next level on March 3 at 9:50 am CET: Quattro goes electric. Audi broadcasts the world premieres of the Audi A3 Sportback and the prototype of the Audi e-Tron S here on Audi MediaTV.”

Bentley

Bentley will announce its new Mulliner Bacalar on March 3rd, via public Livestream. The company was one of the first automakers to agree with Geneva Motor Show’s management to cancel the show.

“Bentley welcomes the decision of the Geneva State Council to cancel this year’s Geneva Motor Show. This is a decision in the interests of the health and safety of all participants and our colleagues.”

BMW

BMW was expected to unveil the first electric Gran Coupe, the i4, in Geneva. It has decided to continue with the reveal, as a virtual press conference. That’s scheduled for 12:15 pm on Tuesday.

The i4 concept will go head-to-head against Tesla’s Model 3.

McLaren

McLaren has said it will be launching a ‘sensational new supercar’ via public livestream from 12:30 on Tuesday.

The car will be unveiled by McLaren Automotive CEO Mike Flewitt, live from the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, UK.

Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes-Benz will push ahead with its planned press conference, live-streaming the launch of its new E-Class from a digital studio in Stuttgart, Germany. You can watch live via this link.

A second press conference from the company’s motorsports division will take place on Tuesday, based around ‘motorsports and sustainability’. Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton is expected to be in attendance.

Porsche

Porsche will launch its new 911 via livestream, at a premiere hosted by brand ambassador and former F1 driver Mark Webber.

The reveal will take place at 12:10 am (Dubai Time) on Wednesday morning.

Volkswagen is going to unveil the new Toureg R and the new version of the Golf GTI via livestream on Tuesday evening. You can tune in to the public press conference at 11:30 pm.
