Porsche has pulled the wraps off a new more powerful Macan GTS.
Output power has been boosted, and the new GTS now sits between the Macan S and Macan Turbo.
The new car comes equipped with a Biturbo 2.9-liter V6 that produces 380-horsepower. Add in Porsche’s Sport Chrono package, the Macan GTS (which stands for Gran Turismo Sport) can go from 0 to 100 kph in just 4.5 seconds. Top speed: 261kph.
The motor has been designed to cope with all times of terrain but has been made more agile this time around. It has been given adaptive air suspension, and the chassis can be lowered by up to 10 millimetres.
The Macan GTS was updated in 2018 and restyled. While it already boasted a highly-responsive driving dynamics, there is now the option for a 440-horsepower Macan Turbo.
The cost of all that power? US$73,000 when it arrives next summer.
Also, Porsche has long teased an all-electric version of the Macan. That is expected to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show next September.
