Infinity is preparing for a greener and more electric future, and it’s doing so with a sleep new concept dubbed the Prototype 10.
We’re not sure what happened to the nine other prototypes, but Infiniti just announced the Prototype ten – a sleek new roadster that points to the brand’s electric future.

While crossovers and SUVs tend to dominate car sales these days, Infiniti has gone the opposite direction – the prototype ten is much smaller than a traditional motor, in that it has just one seat. It was built for the sole purpose of enjoying the drive.
According to Karim Habib, executive design director for Infiniti “The INFINITI Prototype 10 echoes the layout and design of some of the most evocative car designs of all time, where power was celebrated through high-powered single-seat competition cars,”
“Our new concept speaks of an electrified future, something which is reflected in its form and details. It is appropriate that we found inspiration in an optimistic bygone era in which cars were characterized by the simple love of driving.”

As a prototype, this new motor doesn’t really have to do anything other than look cool. And it certainly does that. It looks like the natural evolution of a 1950s racer and designed to look more like a bullet than a regular old motor.
Of course, this is just a prototype. Meaning the chances of ever getting behind the wheel is close to zero. However, Infiniti has said that the design hints at its design futures, which is excellent news if you like cool looking cars.
