Or the artist previously known as ‘Mission E’

Porsche has finally decided on an official name for its electric performance car.

Yes, despite being in development for what seems like years, Porsche’s all-electric performance car has always been dubbed the “Mission E”. Now to us, that was a good name – the E could stand for electric, exciting or energy.

However, the car boffs at Porsche didn’t enjoy that name and threw it in the bin. Instead, they are calling the Mission E the ‘Taycan’.

The Italian word roughly translates to ‘lively young horse’ in a Eurasian dialect, or it might bean ‘spirited young horse’ depending on who you ask at Porsche.

Regardless, the car is both very fast and very good for the environment. The Taycan is due out next year.
