Our petrol-fuelled contributor Supercar Blondie, makes her pick of enviable steeds at this year’s Geneva Motor Show

I’m just putting this out there straight away, this isn’t going to be a list of the Top 3 cars you can take directly from the Motor Show to your garage.

This is the kind of list that you take a photo of and then pin it on your wish board for all of eternity.

Frankly, updates about a bigger dashboard or a couple of new headlights, just isn’t what gets me excited. So here’s a list of the cars that will make you ‘oooh’ and ‘ahhh’ and have us all dreaming of what might be and, equally, what may never be again.

Rimac C_Two

This is the Croatian branded car that came to fame when Richard Hammond found himself in hospital after rolling it down a hill and narrowly escaping before it burnt to a crisp. But now they’re making headlines for much more positive reasons.

This fully electric beast has almost 2000 horse power, which is like having 10 BMW 3 series powering you forward. It’ll also get you to 100km/hr before you can say ‘help I want my mum’, in other words, 1.85 seconds.

The gadget side of the car is pretty cool too. It has imbedded cameras on both the passenger and driver’s side door that will give you access to the car using facial recognition technology… cuz who wants to open a car door with their hands? So last year.

Zenvo TSR-S

When the owner thrust a cumstomised helmet in to my hands and said you get a matching one when you buy the car, I was convinced I should splash the 1.7 million dollars. But then I heard only 5 would be made per year and I decided I shouldn’t hog one for myself.

The car has almost 1200 horse power and will beat almost anyone you see at the lights to 100kmh, but don’t get too cocky if you see a Tesla. You’ll be a split second behind the Model S P100d at 2.8 seconds. If you ever get to see a TSR-S, make sure you take a look at the roof – that’s where you’ll see one of its most beautiful features.

The buyer can have a picture or pattern watermarked on to the carbon fibre which makes for an incredibly subtle but beautiful detail that shouldn’t go unnoticed.

Apollo Intensa Emozione

At 2.8 million dollars, you wonder where your money goes. Here’s the first hint – head around the back of the car and you’ll see the titanium exhaust tips, which cost as much as a BMW M4, yep just the tips of the exhaust…

Buyers also get a 3D scan of their body so the manufacturers can custom fit the interior carbon fibre and padding to their body. What makes it even more special, is the naturally aspirated V12 that doesn’t sound like anything I’ve ever heard before. The only way I can describe it is if you google the roar of a black panther. Literally, I did it. It sounds the same.
