Masculinity and luxury combine with Infiniti’s new QX80

The QX80 has always been a big car, and now it finally feels like one.

Unveiled at the recent Dubai Motor Show, Infiniti’s unquestionably masculine SUV has undergone a series of minor tweaks that have made some major changes. And now, it’s available in the UAE.

Now Infiniti’s largest model, the updated SUV has not only scaled-up in size but has seriously updated its luxury credentials. Subtle design tweaks such as raising the brand’s statement double-arch grill and the headlamps 10cm higher instantly gives the QX80 more swagger and road presence than Kanye West in a blacked-out Hummer.

While avoiding a total redesign on its flagship SUV, Infiniti’s band of design whizzes continue to tweak and update elements to make things look and feel more upscale and luxurious. A concerted effort has also been put into developing the quality and craftsmanship of the interior cabin, with hand-stitched finishing and quilted seats that really takes the QX80’s luxury game to the next level.

With a taut yet comfort-oriented suspension and ample performance from its 5.6-litre V8 engine, the new QX80 gives drivers an assured feeling of control and confidence at the wheel.

For all intent and purpose, as a seven-person vehicle, the aim of the game is to attract a broader audience looking for that all-purpose, full-sized, high-quality daily drive that combines supreme space and utility with advanced technologies and high sophistication — making them ready for anything the GCC roads will throw at them.

Production of the new QX80 is underway at the brand’s Kyushu production facility in Japan, and is now on sale across the Middle East.
