Marvellous monochrome minimalism

Less is more. Or at least that’s the lie you tell yourself in the mirror everyday as your widow’s peak slowly makes the transition into a widow’s Everest. Thankfully, Swiss watchmaker Rado have been able to breathe new life into this cliché with their latest addition of three wonderfully slim, minimalist timepieces to their collection. In a world where we often feel weighed down by manic multitasking and our own daily routines, this super slim trio of watches delight in terms of their utter simplicity. It’s just a shame they can’t sort out your hairline.

Styled with a simple “back to basics” approach, these three new additions to Rado’s True Thinline family have been stripped to include only their barest essentials. There is no room for anything unnecessary on your wrist any longer. Each piece is crafted in a monochrome colour palette – either pure white, stark black or lustruous plasma – using Rado’s signature high-tech ceramic material. Free of indexes, subdials and other add-ons you’ve never really used, the Thinline’s dial is a refreshing blank slate. Hell, even the second hand has been removed. The timepiece’s sober, restrained lines and incredibly slim profile provide the perfect way for you to make a fashion understatement.

With a case that measures just 4.9 mm, the True Thinline is the thinnest ceramic watch that Rado has ever produced. Despite their light weight and airy aesthetic, this trio of watches still boasts the same durability and scratch resistance as Rado’s other high-tech models. So just because it’s lightweight doesn’t mean you’ll need to treat any differently to your regular watch, as water-resistant to 3 bar (30m) these beauties are more than capable of looking after themselves. Plus, they look pretty slick.Less is more. Or at least that’s the lie you tell yourself in the mirror everyday as your widow’s peak slowly makes the transition into a widow’s Everest.
