Saudi Arabia was swept with gaming fever as the Arab Game Awards 2023 took the stage this week. The competition saw “Alan Wake II” steal the show, scooping up an impressive eight awards including Best Game of 2023.

But “Alan Wake II” wasn’t the only star of the night. “Hi-Fi Rush,” “Forza Motorsport,” “Baldur’s Gate 3,” “Diablo IV,” and “Little Nightmares II” also bagged their share of accolades, proving their mettle in the gaming arena.
Todd Howard, the brain behind “The Elder Scrolls” and “Fallout,” was honored as an Industry Legend, a nod to his colossal impact on the gaming universe.
The awards didn’t just glorify international hits; they also shone a light on the MENA’s own gaming scene. Indie gems like “Neon Moon” and “Catatonic” shared the stage, showcasing the burgeoning talent within the region.
The ceremony also tipped its hat to influential Arab developers, including Fawzi Mesmar and Ali Farha, celebrating their contributions to the industry.
