Including free-to-play titles for Android and the web

Facebook has pulled the wraps of a new cloud-gaming service that allows users to pmes lay gavia mobile and computer, without having to download them directly.

The company currently has free-to-play mobile games such as WWE SuperCard, Asphalt 9: Legends, PGA Tour Golf Shootout, Mobile Legends: Adventure and Solitaire Arthur’s Tale.

Unfortunately for iOS users, the service only works on Android mobiles of via the web browser on your PC or Mac.

Facebook’s announcement was different to previous cloud gaming platforms from the likes of Google and Amazon, in that the social media company did not attempt to wow users by pledging extreme speeds or resolutions.

Instead, it seems the service was launched for those who enjoy mobile gaming, but might prefer to do so without having to download the game directly.

“We believe in the long-term future of cloud gaming, but we aren’t going to try to wow you with the wonders of our data centers, compression algorithms, resolutions, or frames per second,” Facebook said in its lauch statement.

“Cloud game streaming for the masses still has a way to go, and it’s important to embrace both the advantages and the reality of the technology rather than try to oversell where it’ll be in the future.”

Right now, Facebook Gaming is only available to those in certain states across the United States. But the social media platform has said that will soon open up to the rest of the US, followed by a worldwide release.
