KFC has just opened its very own (and potential first?) digital restaurant, located inside Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
The new ‘location’ is full-on KFC-branded, and provides digital guests tables to sit at, menu boards to choose your favourite dish and even the famous Colonel Sanders manning the counters.
Animal Crossing revolves around islands, with other players decorating theirs with houses, crops and animals. Then, you can invite others to come visit your island to check it out. KFC’s digital restaurant exists on its own island.
KFC is making its island public and inviting guests from its Facebook page to come check out the restaurant. If you arrive while the Colonel is currently holding fort, you win your very own free eight-piece bucket of real KFC.
This is all going on via KFC’s Philippines Facebook page (so we reckon the ‘free chicken’ offer won’t apply to those in the Middle East). But that doesn’t mean you can’t visit KFC’s digital store to check it out.
